MEET FRANK PHILLIPS,
I am running to represent House District 18, which includes Haralson County, and parts of Carroll and Paulding Counties.
I was born outside of Austin Texas, and my family moved 2 times before settling in Panama City, FL as my father was starting out as a Minister. After graduating from the Rutherford High School IB Program, I enlisted in the Marine Corps as a Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Weapons Specialist. Upon completion of my service, I returned to Panama City where I met my wife Danielle, before being recalled to the Marine Corps for an additional 4 years.
After completing that tour, and adding our first daughter to the family we moved to Acworth, GA. After getting settled, I transferred to the Navy Reserve as an Intelligence Analyst, and found a great job in software development with a small geospatial and mapping business in the Atlanta area. During this time, I finished a degree in Software Development at Chattahoochee Technical. We purchased our first house in Paulding County in 2012. That following year my wife and I felt called to support our community by becoming foster parents. Shortly after that, I found a job which allowed me to stay close to home, and we began that journey. We have adopted 4 girls over the last 10 years, to bring us to a total of 5 wonderful kids.
In 2019 we began another chapter by moving to Haralson County and starting a business in the restaurant industry just before COVID, which has grown to 125 employees and 6 locations. I have become very aware of the exceptional challenges that too much government can have on those that are trying to start new businesses.
I have served on local boards and nonprofits, including Republican District Executive committee, Republican District 3rd Vice Chair, board member for Carelink, Haralson County Zoning Appeals, and many other. I am a member of American Legion Post 70. I have been an active member of the Paulding and Haralson County Republican parties since 2012.
My wife Danielle and I have been married since 2007, and have 5 daughters. The Phillips family are members at their local Baptist Church.
